Glasgow Boy, Cooks & Shouts Equally Well.

It’s just after lunch! I am satisfied. YUM! I didn’t bring any lunch today and I was huuuungry! Like a bear! Usually in a case like this I’d go to Dino’s and grab a pizza or pasta but I don’t work anywhere near there any more – I went on the hunt!

I walked in to town from Merchant city, considered DeVinci’s but just couldn’t do it. As I got back to Merchant City, assuming I’d be settling for a sandwich from Tesco, I remembered that Parnie St. used to have a few places on it. Success! Trans-Europe Cafe – a gourmet sandwich cafe! It was just what I wanted and it had the price/quality ratio for lunch! So. Really good and pretty cheap – NOM!

I got the Hamburg with bacon and cheese. The meat was seasoned correctly, not dry and not fatty. The bacon and cheese were not fatty or greasy either.

I recommend it, go now. Not just now, but right now!

Also, this is not a foot note, the chap working there was very friendly and the décor is pretty cool and comfy. I’d definitely head in the evenings or at the weekend.

The AMAZING Miss Jill Scott is about to release her latest master piece – The Light Of The Sun June 21st!

Now. I’ve not been my creative self and managed to wangle myself a copy before release so I’m writing on hopes, dreams and wishes! I just can’t imagine it will suck if it is I’ll be mega disappointed and will tell ya’ll about it.

What I am pretty disappointed about is that I can’t seem to find any UK tour dates for the Summer Block Party Tour or any Jill Scott UK tour at all! Jill! What’s with that? eh! I’ll even travel to London to see you, I’d go as far as Paris! Which I think is pretty reasonable and more than a compromise.

Anyway! Buy the album it will be delicious, I promise (sticking my neck out here). And, Miss Scott if you ever read this get your butt over here for a tour. I’ll take Paris, that’s a 4 hour flight and a lot of cash to hear you live – but will be worth every penny!

Well! It’s that time of year when for 24 straight hours the Le Mans sound scape is screaming high performance engines!

I went for the first time last year (can’t go this year unfortunately) it was one of the if not the best holidays of my life. Why? Because it had a bit of everything for me. My bro, cousin and I took our motorbikes from Glasgow to Le Mans, nothing like a bike of touring on the bikes coupled with my first trip on the Euro tunnel. Yes we got lost for 15 hours driving around the North West Quarter of France but it was still fun and I got to see the sights!

When we arrived at the campsite we got a warm welcome from the 1st Ticket team.

After setting up camp and getting a well deserved sleep we woke up and bought a BBQ lots of meat and veg and most importantly cheap French beer!! …still better than Tennants

Before it all started the fam and I hung around drink beer and talk crap, good times!! Then we started to get to chatting to our neighbours which we’d found out we were racing on the way over! Cracking guys! I’ve never met a bunch of gay men that into cars and motor sports! There’s your stereotypes right out the window!!

To cap it all off after the race we walked around the Le Mans track whist trying to avoid getting hit by boy racers that found their way onto the track. Finally we got hunger and went to the ‘kebab’ place. OMG they had a food called Steak Frite which is basically baguette, hamburger, skinny chips and cheese sauce in a panini! That and beer is the food of gods, GODS! I wake up at night thinking about it
