Kanyes West Fashion Show – Seems to have sucked
Now. Kanye I love and hate. Sometimes he needs to shut the f*@k up – bit like me -his music is great and not just the pop stuff if you listen to the production on his tracks it’s layered and full.
Anyway I didn’t really think that Kanye was actually going ahead to do couture fashion. It would seem to be deemed by the fashionista as terrible. I don’t know, I don’t generally pay attention to high fashion but this is what Suzy Menkes of the New York Times’ wrote – ‘his collection of sexpot low-bodice dresses and skintight pants, decked out with heaps of ginger fur, did not inspire the fashion crowd to tell him to give up his day job.’
Kanyes Rebuttal to the attack on his line ‘Dw Kanye West’:
“‘This is my first collection. Please be easy. Please give me a chance to grow. This is not some celebrity s***. I don’t f*** with celebrities. I f*** with the creatives in this room, the amazing people who spend every day of their life trying to make the world a more beautiful place.
‘The amount of people that tried to get me a celebrity f***ing deal. They said, ‘You need to do boot-cut jeans, or you won’t sell.’ Shut the f*** up !… I can only grow from this point.’”
